What should you know before choosing a Budapest circuit poster?

A Hungaroring circuit poster represents the 4.381 km, fourteen-turn route built near Budapest in a natural bowl. Its outline rises along one long branch to a rounded summit, descends through several close curves and forms a compact knot before returning to the main line. OwnHomeMap recentres this drawing in a portrait format with customizable colours and optional short text. The protected preview lets the buyer inspect nearby segments, contrast and margins before payment. A confirmed order unlocks a 4961 × 7016 pixel PNG without the watermark. This ratio follows A2 proportions and supports printing at 42 × 59.4 cm, or 16.5 × 23.4 inches, at 300 DPI. For this eligible circuit, the cart can also offer one A4 or A3 portrait print; the PNG remains included and a frame is not included. The poster can recall Budapest, the Mogyoród hills or a lasting, deeply personal motor-racing memory without a logo or claim of official affiliation.

Circuit history

Construction began in 1985 after a new site was chosen instead of reviving the Népliget park route. The circuit was built in eight months and hosted its first major event on 10 August 1986. A first alteration removed the triple chicane in 1989. In 2003, the main straight was lengthened and Turns 1, 12 and 14 were revised, bringing the route to 4.381 km. The full track surface was renewed in 2016.

Why this circuit is distinctive

The Hungaroring is visually more vertical than many compact circuits. One broad arch occupies the upper poster while the lower section concentrates several nearly overlapping returns. This distribution creates a lively yet balanced silhouette. The natural bowl also explains the sequence of curves and suggests elevation without added scenery. Its central area needs particular care to keep the nearby branches perfectly distinct.

Customization guidance

A midnight-blue, burgundy or deep-green background with an ivory or copper line clearly separates nearby segments. Keep the route fine through the lower knot and central return. A brighter accent on a dark field helps the long vertical branch remain visible without dominating the composition. Place personal text beneath the circuit. In the preview, inspect the summit, central gap and both lower loops.

Printing guidance

Download the final PNG from the confirmed order and retain its full 4961 × 7016 pixel definition. For A2 printing, request portrait output without cropping and confirm that the long branch remains complete. Matte paper helps separate central segments under direct light, while satin stock increases contrast for brighter palettes. Request a proof before large-format output. For a smaller size, scale proportionally without using a messaging service that compresses the file.
