Circuit history
The Marina Bay circuit in Singapore entered history in 2008 as F1's first-ever night race. Cars speed under artificial lights, between illuminated skyscrapers and iconic landmarks of the city-state. It's one of the most physically demanding races — heat, humidity, and 2 hours of concentration under the floodlights.
Why this circuit is special
The night race is visually spectacular — car sparks, reflections on the asphalt, illuminated skyscrapers in the background. Singapore is the most glamorous and photogenic Grand Prix on the calendar.
