Circuit history
Interlagos, nestled in the southern outskirts of Sao Paulo, literally means 'between the lakes.' This short, undulating circuit is the stage for some of F1's most dramatic races. Brazil's passion for motorsport — inherited from Senna and Fittipaldi — makes every Brazilian Grand Prix unforgettable.
Why this circuit is special
Interlagos runs counter-clockwise, which puts different demands on drivers' necks. The circuit is short, which makes overtaking frequent. And tropical rain can turn any race into a masterpiece.
