Circuit history
The Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit is the benchmark circuit for F1 winter testing. Since 1991, it has hosted the Spanish Grand Prix. Its complete layout tests every quality of a car: slow corners, fast corners, a long straight, and technical sections.
Why this circuit is special
If a car is fast at Barcelona, it'll be fast everywhere. It's the ultimate benchmark in F1. Turn 3 and the final sequence are particularly technical and revealing of a car's aerodynamic downforce.
