iOS app (iPhone & iPad)

Compatible with iOS 16 and later. Available on the App Store.

The app crashes at launch

Force-quit the app (swipe up from the recent apps list) and relaunch it. If the issue persists, update iOS via Settings → General → Software Update, then check that OwnHomeMap is up to date on the App Store. As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall the app — your saved posters stay on your account.

My saved posters won't sync

Make sure you're signed in to your account (Account tab → email sign-in). Sync requires an active internet connection. If it fails, pull down on the My Posters screen to force a refresh. Your designs are saved on our servers and accessible from any device with your email.

Apple Pay payment isn't working

Check that Apple Pay is set up in Settings → Wallet & Apple Pay, and that your card isn't expired. If the error persists, try paying by credit card directly in the app, or from ownhomemap.com using the same account.

How to download my poster in high resolution

After purchase, open My Orders, select your poster, then tap Download. The high-resolution PNG file (300 DPI) is saved to Photos or Files depending on your choice. You can re-download as many times as needed.

The map preview won't load

Map rendering requires a stable internet connection because we fetch geographic data in real time. Check your connection (4G/5G or Wi-Fi) and try again. For uncommon or sparsely mapped cities, the first load can take 5 to 10 seconds.

How to delete my account

Open the Account tab → Settings → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and erases your saved posters. Paid orders remain accessible by email for accounting compliance. You can also email support@ownhomemap.com for assisted deletion.

Android app

Compatible with Android 9 and later. Available on Google Play.

The app crashes or freezes

Go to Settings → Apps → OwnHomeMap → Storage → Clear cache (your data is preserved). Relaunch the app. If the issue persists, make sure you have the latest version from the Play Store and that your Android is up to date.

Google Play error during purchase

Check that your Google Play payment method is valid (play.google.com/payments). If the error persists, restart the app or buy directly from ownhomemap.com using the same account — your poster will be available in the app after sync.

Poster download fails

Make sure the app has storage permission: Settings → Apps → OwnHomeMap → Permissions → Storage / Photos & media. The PNG file is then saved to the Pictures/OwnHomeMap folder. You can also download from ownhomemap.com on your computer.

My designs don't appear after sign-in

Make sure you're using the same email as on the website. Sync runs automatically on sign-in but can take a few seconds. Pull down the My Posters screen to force a refresh.

Push notifications not received

Enable notifications in Settings → Apps → OwnHomeMap → Notifications. For order notifications (printing, shipping), you also receive an automatic email at your account address.

How to change the app language

The app uses your Android system language by default. To change it for this app only: Settings → Apps → OwnHomeMap → Language (Android 13+). On earlier versions, change the system language in Settings → System → Languages.

I forgot my password

OwnHomeMap uses passwordless sign-in via magic link. On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap Get the link. Click the link in your inbox (check spam) to sign in automatically. The link expires after 15 minutes for security.

How to track my printed order

You receive an email with a tracking number as soon as your poster ships. You can also check status in the app: My Orders → select your order → Track shipment. Production takes 2 to 4 business days, then delivery 3 to 10 days depending on destination.

My poster arrived damaged

Email support@ownhomemap.com within 14 days of receipt with a photo of the damage. We reprint and reship at no cost. No need to return the damaged poster.

What data do you collect through the app

We collect only the information needed for the service: email for your account, poster configurations for save/sync, and order data for delivery. No advertising tracking, no data resale. Full details in our privacy policy available from the app.

How to find your app version

On iOS: Settings → OwnHomeMap → Version. On Android: Settings → Apps → OwnHomeMap → Details. Include this number in your message to speed up resolution.
