What should you know before choosing a Monte Carlo circuit poster?

A Monaco circuit poster highlights a 3.337 km street layout threaded between the Principality’s roads, harbour and tunnel. In the OwnHomeMap design, the circuit line remains the main subject: it is separated from the surrounding map, enlarged for legibility and paired with the Monaco name. The buyer selects a colour palette and checks the result in a protected preview before paying. The final file is a 4961 × 7016 pixel PNG without the preview watermark. Those dimensions match A2 proportions and provide enough pixels for printing at 42 × 59.4 cm, or 16.5 × 23.4 inches, at 300 DPI. For this eligible circuit, the cart can also offer one A4 or A3 portrait print; the PNG remains included and a frame is not included. It works as motorsport decor, a travel memory or a considered gift chosen for the unmistakable silhouette of this compact street circuit rather than for an official sporting affiliation.

Circuit history

The first motor race organised through Monaco’s streets dates to 1929. Antony Noghès developed the project with the Automobile Club de Monaco. Unlike a purpose-built venue laid out on a closed site, this route uses public streets temporarily converted for competition. That origin explains its compressed form, frequent changes of direction and constant proximity to buildings, elevation and the waterfront. The modern layout measures 3.337 km. Its visual identity comes less from regular geometry than from the way it connects very different urban spaces within a remarkably small footprint.

Why this circuit is distinctive

At poster scale, Monaco is recognisable through a dense outline: a long movement around the harbour, a narrow return through the city and several tightly grouped bends. The tunnel adds an unusual feature because the route briefly disappears beneath the built environment. This combination creates a compact, asymmetric silhouette unlike a large permanent circuit. It can evoke the city, its elevation and a driving route without adding logos or implying an official affiliation.

Customization guidance

A light line on a very dark background separates the harbour sections and prevents small direction changes from merging. For a more architectural mood, an ivory or sand line on midnight blue suggests coastal light without copying a team identity. Personal text should stay short: a name, date or a few words is enough. The composition then keeps a clear hierarchy between the circuit, city name and dedication.

Printing guidance

Before printing, download the final PNG from the order page and keep its original dimensions. Choose matte paper to reduce reflections across dark colour fields, or a satin stock for stronger contrast. In the print dialog, select A2 with no additional enlargement and disable settings that automatically crop the image. A standard A2 frame can then hold the print; any border added by the printer changes only the visible area, not the delivered file.
